Gameplay
Trivial Pursuit is a board game that can be played by two or more players. The objective of the game is to be the first player to collect one wedge of each color by correctly answering questions from six categories: Geography, Entertainment, History, Art & Literature, Science & Nature, and Sports & Leisure.
At the beginning of the game, each player chooses a game piece and places it on the starting space. The first player then rolls the die and moves their piece the corresponding number of spaces. If they land on a colored space, they must answer a question from that category. If they answer correctly, they get to roll again. If they answer incorrectly, play moves to the next player.
Players can also earn a chance to answer a question from a category of their choice by landing on a “Wild Card” space. If a player lands on a wedge space and correctly answers a question from that category, they get to keep the wedge.
The game ends when a player collects all six wedges and makes their way to the center of the board to answer a final question. If the player answers correctly, they win the game.
Trivial Pursuit offers a variety of question difficulties, making it a game that can be enjoyed by players of all ages and knowledge levels. The game also offers different editions with questions tailored to specific interests, such as movies or sports.
